Morgan’s Story

On March 19, 2007, Andre and Ebony Lawrence eagerly anticipated welcoming their firstborn child, Morgan Andrea Lawrence, into the world. Though Morgan was stillborn at 36 weeks gestation, her brief presence forever changed her parents' lives. In 2025, on what would have been Morgan's 18th birthday, a milestone marking the transition to adulthood and higher education, the Lawrences established this scholarship to honor the bright future their daughter never had the chance to experience. The Morgan Andrea Lawrence Memorial Scholarship is a one-time award of $500 made payable directly to your academic institution. While we recognize this amount may not cover all expenses, we believe in its power to: - Reduce your first-year financial burden - Demonstrate belief in your potential - Honor Morgan's memory through your achievements - Support your journey to break generational cycles This award is non-transferable and must be applied toward tuition or required fees at an accredited institution as you pursue your bachelor's degree.
